Many Americans will spend at least a few minutes today reflecting on Mother Nature. They’ll attend Earth Day rallies, pick up trash or plant a tree. Iowans should also contact their representatives in the Iowa House and Senate and ask them this one question: What are you doing to get money flowing into the trust fund dedicated to conservation and recreation?
It has been more than four years since Iowans went to the polls, amended the state Constitution and created the Iowa Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund. The people of this state want to invest in the outdoors. They did their part to rescue parks, clean up the state’s polluted water and preserve precious topsoil.
