2.08 crore households in India have disabled persons: Census


As many as 2.08 crore households in the country have differently-abled persons constituting 8.3 per cent of the total homes, the 2001-11 data said today.

According to the 2011 data released by Registrar General and Census Commissioner of today, out of the total households having disabled persons, about 99 per cent homes are normal homes, 0.4 per cent are institutional and 0.2 per cent are house-less households.
