Ludhiana: Vinay Khurana and his visually challenged friend Ankit Kapoor have decided to start a library on their own in a small shop in Kochar Market. They have already got 100 sets of Braille books, and are working for more books and material for visually challenged students. Ankit – who is working in the education department, and is a resident of Partap Colony in Model Gram – informed that all the investment is being done by his friend Vinay, an astrologer and social worker.
“It is in a small shop owned by Vinay that we have set up this library. Now, we have got 100 sets of Braille books, and in the near future, we will have many more books. I want to have books related to RTI, Human Rights, Disability Act, religious books like ‘Gita’ and ‘Guru Granth Sahib’, and magazines like ‘Nawan Rashmi’, ‘Braille Dhara’, ‘Sparsh Setu’, ‘Jigyasa’, and others,” said Ankit.
