Consider leave for mothers with disabled children, Bombay High Court

The Bombay High Court’s  AS Oka and PD Naik JJ have recently held that the State government must consider granting leave under the disability law in cases of employees with disabled children.
Holding that even though Rule 43C (for grant of child care leave) of the Central Civil Service rules is not applicable at the state level, the High Court asked the government to consider giving women employees with disabled children, leave under Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995.
