Job fair shows ray of hope to disabled persons

Bhubaneswar: Polio-stricken Susant Kumar Baral had never thought that he will get a white-collar job in a corporate house with a five-figure salary. Baral got selected as a back office operator in a job fair organised by the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped (VRCH), a central government organisation, here on Tuesday.
 Like Baral around 100 persons with disabilities (PWDs) with minimum qualification of matric ulation participated in the job fair where nine companies from different sectors, including hospitality, IT, Sales and services, retail chains and microfinance took part. In the job fair at least 30 persons got recruited while over 20 have been shortlisted for different jobs.
