Plan to make disabled people disaster-ready



THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a first, the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has come up with a project to strengthen the response capability of the disabled people in emergency situations or when disasters strike.
 It has identified around 8 lakh disabled people across the state who will be trained in survival skills, including performing first aid and in organizing and responding to search and rescue related efforts.
