Government buildings to be disabled-friendly

GURUGRAM: The office of the state commissioner for persons with disabilities has written to the ministry of social justice and empowerment, seeking funds for renovating a number of government buildings so that physically challenged people can easily access them.
Sources at the department claimed that an estimate for renovation of 20 government buildings — including the mini secretariat, district courts, power department’s office, General Hospital and the police commissioner’s office — had already been prepared. The department would start work for proposed alteration/modification of these buildings once it receives funds from the ministry.
