As many as 16 Children with Special Needs (CWSN) underwent surgeries in the preceding academic session (2017-18) under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan in Ludhiana district. These children belong to the different disabilities and are either enrolled in schools and resource rooms.Prem Singh, a case of cerebral palsy underwent the surgery in September last year.
He is a regular Class IX student of Government Senior Secondary School Ladhowal, Block Mangat 1. His parents are more than grateful to see him walk. Uma Rani, Prem’s mother said: “He feels much better now and is improving day by day. We will remain indebted to the doctors for taking care of my child.”
