Meet India’s first disabled basketball player from a remote area, Jitendra Pathkar

Specially-abled people form a huge part of the country. Despite this, they have always been neglected, and their rights have been ignored. However, wheelchair-bound Jitendra Pathkar from Lalitpur district in Uttar Pradesh has proved that nothing is impossible if one puts one’s mind to it.
His passion lies in basketball, and is consistently working towards showcasing his talent in the field. Belonging to the Beerdha block of Lalitpur district, 26-year-old Jitendra is the first disabled basketball player of India from a remote area.
