The Anubhav gallery at the National Museum has an unusual sign at its entrance: ‘Please touch all exhibits’. Instead of shutting them up behind glass cabinets, historical artefacts here are out in the open with Braille placards alongside.
The 22 exhibits in this tactile gallery are replicas — ranging from the famous Harappan dancing girl statue to metal hields from Bikaner, and even two miniature paintings with embossing.
